The city of Beit Shemesh
The city of Beit Shemesh
Beit Shemesh, located at the foot of the Judean Mountains, overlooks a spectacular view of the Jerusalem Mountains and Gush Etzion. The city is located 30 minutes from Jerusalem and 50 minutes from Tel Aviv, and currently has over 176,000 residents. The city's population includes the old neighborhood of Beit Shemesh alongside the newer neighborhoods of Ramat Beit Shemesh.
Today, Beit Shemesh is experiencing an unprecedented development and construction boom, with several projects currently underway. The old and established Ramat Beit Shemesh A neighborhood has developed in recent years along with new neighborhoods, including the "Mashkafim" neighborhood, the M-3 neighborhood, Ramat Beit Shemesh C'2, Ramat Beit Shemesh D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, and the Ma'ar - a major business center. The Ministry of Housing and the Beit Shemesh Municipality are working to expand the city with approximately 25,000 additional housing units, which are intended for the ultra-Orthodox and National Religious public.
The accelerated construction in the city stems from the development of new infrastructure and significant investment by the Ministry of Housing, making the city one of the main residential destinations for ultra-Orthodox and religious-national families in the country.
The new construction plans in Beit Shemesh focus on two main areas:
Ramat Beit Shemesh D: Located west of Ramat Beit Shemesh A, the neighborhood is planned to include over 10,000 housing units, divided into five areas (D'1 to D'5).
Neve Shamir (Ramat Beit Shemesh E): This neighborhood is expected to include approximately 5,000 housing units, intended for the national-religious and ultra-Orthodox public. Neve Shamir, adjacent to Ramat Beit Shemesh A, is a direct continuation of the area and complements the diverse population mix, which includes the ultra-Orthodox, national-religious and Anglo-Saxon publics.
Beit Shemesh currently offers attractive residential opportunities with growth potential, and is becoming one of the leading centers in the religious and Haredi sector in Israel.
